What is Bishop?
A bishop stays on one color for the whole game and slides any distance on that diagonal. The two bishops cover opposite colors, so trading one changes which squares you can attack.

How do you get Bishop?
Each side starts with two bishops, one on each color.
How do you use Bishop?
Develop both bishops before you attack. In the Italian Game the light-squared bishop for White often goes to c4. Do not shut a bishop in behind your own pawns if you can help it. The French Defense makes that mistake easy.
