Leaderboards and the 9 time controls

Bullet, Blitz, Rapid, and Puzzles are the published boards. The nine clocks are not given as a minute chart.

What is published

RoChess! has rated online games across 9 time controls. Separate leaderboards exist for Bullet, Blitz, Rapid, and Puzzles. That is the full public list. The experience page does not print the minutes, increments, or names of all 9 clocks.

Do not treat a four-row chart of 1 minute, 3 minutes, 5 minutes, and 10 minutes as the official set. Those values are not on the Roblox description, and four clocks would not account for nine controls. Choose the control shown in the game.

How to use the four boards

Board What it asks for Practical use
Bullet Fast decisions Only after moves and checks are automatic. A flag is a loss even in a winning position.
Blitz Tactics at a practical pace A normal rated home once you have a short opening and a check-capture-threat scan.
Rapid Time to compare moves The better board while you are still learning calculation.
Puzzles One position, one idea Separate from match rating. More than 1,300 rated puzzles feed this board.

These are uses, not official rating formulas. No K-factor, starting rating, or decay rule is published here.

A rated session

  1. Warm up with a few puzzles or one easy bot game.
  2. Queue one control on purpose. Do not hop clocks after every loss.
  3. Play the whole game. Resignation is allowed. Abandoning because the opening left a book you memorised is how the rating moves the wrong way.
  4. If you are unsure which of two quiet moves is better, play the one that keeps the king safe and does not hang material. Save the long think for a forcing choice.
  5. Review that game once.

What a leaderboard does not mean

A Puzzle rank does not set your Bullet rank. A bot win does not move the people leaderboards, based on the split the description draws between bots, rated games, and the four boards. Climb one board at a time.

Server size is 50. You are matched with a person, not with the whole server as a team.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Which clocks can I play?

The public leaderboards are Bullet, Blitz, Rapid, and Puzzles. The experience also says there are 9 time controls. The exact clock for each of those 9 is not printed on the game description, so this wiki does not assign minute values to them.

How do codes work?

The only code printed by the developer community is GROUPCODE, for free Tokens. Join 1 Elo Chess, open RoChess!, use Shop then Codes, and submit the code exactly. Several 18 October 2026 lists also name 1000LIKES, SOYSLOPGAMES, and CORDCODE, but those strings are not on the community description.

What should a new player do first?

Start with an easy bot, learn legal moves and king safety, then use puzzles before you queue a rated game. After the game, open Game Review and the Analysis Board. The developer tells new players to begin with an easy bot and work toward Master.

What is RoChess!?

RoChess! is a free Roblox experience by 1 Elo Chess. It is rated chess against other people, with 9 time controls, Game Review, an Analysis Board, more than 1,300 rated puzzles, 19 Vortex bots from Beginner to Master, and recognition for more than 3,800 openings.

Is RoChess! free?

Yes. The experience is free to join on Roblox. Tokens from codes are a separate reward, and this wiki does not have a published list of what Tokens buy.
